Job Description

Pharmacist (Cannabis) – Connecticut

Shangri-La Dispensaries was founded in 2019 with the goal of creating a premium cannabis experience centered on education, wellness, and trust. What began as a medical cannabis company focused on patient care has grown into a multi-state organization serving both medical and adult-use customers. As we have grown, our commitment to professionalism, compliance, and community involvement has never changed. We believe cannabis retail can be responsible, welcoming, and elevated, and we are intentional about building a culture that reflects those values. Shangri-La is growing with intention. We are building a company that values clarity, accountability, and people. Our leaders are engaged and accessible, our systems are structured to support execution, and our culture encourages learning and ownership. You will have the opportunity to make a real impact, lead meaningful work, and help shape how a respected cannabis brand continues to grow across multiple states.

As the Pharmacist (Cannabis) – Connecticut, you're the clinical anchor for Shangri-La's medical program—protecting patient trust while keeping every consultation, record, and workflow aligned with Connecticut requirements.

The Pharmacist is responsible for overseeing all medical cannabis patient consultation services, pharmacist-required compliance functions, and dispensary technician training across Shangri-La's Connecticut retail locations. This role serves as the clinical expert for the organization, ensuring all medical cannabis transactions, patient interactions, and pharmacist-required documentation comply with Connecticut regulations and company standards.

Monitor transaction workflows to ensure consistency across all Connecticut locations. Identify and correct documentation deficiencies when necessary. Maintain records in accordance with Connecticut medical cannabis regulations and company standards.

Assist with regulatory audits, inspections, and compliance reviews. Monitor changes in regulations and provide guidance to leadership and store teams. Partner with Compliance and Operations teams to ensure consistent execution of medical program requirements.

Clinical Program Development

Support the continued growth and implementation of Shangri-La's hybrid medical cannabis model. Assist in developing standardized consultation practices and patient education resources. Recommend process improvements to enhance patient experience and regulatory compliance. Partner with leadership to ensure medical services remain scalable across multiple locations.
