Welder / Fabricator 1st Shift Aerotek is seeking a dependable and skilled Welder/Fabricator to join our 1st shift manufacturing team in Winchester, KY. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on fabrication work, takes pride in quality welds, and is comfortable working steady overtime during peak production seasons. Most of the day will be spent fabricating large metal components, with some stitch welding as required. This is a production-focused role in a team-driven environment where safety, consistency, and workmanship matter. Schedule & Hours Base Schedule: MondayFriday, 5:00 AM 5:00 PM Overtime: During ramp/peak seasons, overtime is common. OT typically on Fridays and occasionally Saturdays Average Weekly Hours: Generally 50 hours per week Key Responsibilities Perform fabrication and welding of steel components according to specifications Execute stitch welding and other welding processes as required Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work instructions Operate welding and fabrication equipment safely and efficiently Maintain weld quality standards and production timelines Inspect finished work for accuracy and quality Follow all safety policies and maintain a clean, organized work area Work closely with team members and supervisors to meet production goals Required Qualifications Previous welding and fabrication experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting Ability to read blueprints and fabrication drawings Comfortable working long shifts and consistent overtime Strong attention to detail and quality Reliable attendance and strong work ethic Ability to stand, bend, and lift throughout the shift Preferred Qualifications Manufacturing or structural fabrication experience Experience with MIG welding Familiarity with production-based welding environments Why Work at Contech Engineered Solutions? Pay and Benefits: The pay range for this position is $20.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
