Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education, Special Education, or Visual Impairments, active Teacher of the Visually Impaired certification and 1+ years Teacher of the Visually Impaired experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A contracted opportunity is available for a Teacher of the Visually Impaired to serve in the Denver area, specifically Englewood, CO. This role supports students within a public school district, with assignment details and caseload to be determined pending ongoing staffing decisions. Both full-time and part-time positions may be available. The assignment spans the 2026-2027 school year, beginning in early August and concluding in late May.

Responsibilities:

• Provide specialized instruction and support for students with visual impairments across multiple grade levels.
• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with educators and families.
• Adapt teaching methods and materials to meet students unique accessibility needs.
• Monitor student progress and maintain detailed records.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to enhance student learning experiences.
• Participate in professional development and district meetings as required.

Qualifications:

• Active Colorado Department of Education (CDE) certification as a Teacher of Students with Visual Impairments (TVI).
• Experience working with visually impaired students preferred; ranging from entry-level to seasoned professionals.
• Ability to complete background checks and fingerprinting as mandated by the district.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Flexibility to accommodate potential changes in school assignments and caseload.

Location:

• Position is onsite only, based in the Denver metropolitan area, with assignments potentially varying by school.
