The Sr. Accountant serves as a lead for all major period-end closing activities for Luxottica North America Fixed Assets accounting for 5,000+ locations and 400,000+ active asset records to ensure capital and related expense items are accurately and fairly presented within the financial statements in accordance with US GAAP, IFRS and company policies.
Major duties and responsibilities include timely and accurate recognition of capital expenditures and depreciation expenses, monthly closing activities, sub-ledger maintenance, periodic reviews and analysis of the asset portfolio, communication with management and stakeholders, preparation of plans and forecasts, monthly reconciliations, process improvements, and additional responsibilities as needed.
Basic qualifications include a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance, 3+ years of comparable experience, accounting knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS, strong communication and organizational skills, proficiency in Microsoft Excel, and a high personal standard and commitment.
Preferred qualifications include CPA and/or MBA, fixed assets experience, and SAP experience.
