GENERAL SUMMARY:

Responsible for cleaning specific assigned work areas throughout the production plant.


PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Maintain floor areas in clean assigned area as clean and orderly as possible.
• Shovel waste from the floor and dispose of it into the proper receptacles.
• Transport waste as needed to the appropriate receptacle.
• Assist in the operation of production as directed by the mechanic/supervisor.
• Must be able to work independently with little supervision.
• Notify supervisor immediately if any unsafe or potentially hazardous conditions are discovered.
• May perform other duties as assigned by Lakeside Management.
• Adhere to all Lakeside Foods policies and procedure.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

Knowledge:

• No prior experience or training.
• Learn and follow the approved safe practices and procedures which apply to position.
• Become familiar with, observe and follow all Lakeside Foods' rules and established policies for Safety, Health and Security.

Reasoning Ability:

• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to follow directions.

TEAMWORK AT LAKESIDE (TAL):

• Through individual and team efforts, enthusiastically work toward the continuous improvement of his/her job, work area, department and Lakeside as a whole. Fully participate in TAL by "living" Lakeside's Standards of. By action and work, clearly and visibly demonstrate the spirit of teamwork, cooperation and respect for others in all business transactions and exchanges.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to bend, stand, lift and walk.
• The employee is required to reach with hands and arms.
• The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 55 pounds.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

• The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Ear protection is required.
• This position is considered seasonal and requires employee to commit to the approximate timeframe of July 6th, 2026 thru December 4th, 2026.
