Job Description

Recruiting Assistant Houston, TX (On-Site Position)

Hire Up Staffing Services is one of the top-rated staffing firms in the U.S., and our Houston branch is growing fast. We are currently seeking a high-energy, detail-driven Recruiting Assistant to support our high-volume recruiting efforts across the Greater Houston area. This role is designed for someone with 12+ years of recruiting support, sourcing, or HR coordination experience, ideally in a staffing agency or fast-paced corporate HR setting. If you enjoy engaging with people, sourcing talent, and keeping a busy pipeline running smoothly, this is the perfect opportunity to grow your career in staffing. This position is 95% in-office at our Houston branch, with occasional (5%) local travel for hiring events or client-related support.

This Is an On-Site Position Not Remote. Because so many of the roles we fill require in-person work, our own team thrives by working collaboratively, face-to-face. Our culture, speed, and service depend on being present and connected throughout the workday. Please do not apply if you are seeking a remote or hybrid role.

What We're Looking For
  • 12+ years of high-volume recruiting support, sourcing, or HR coordination
  • Experience handling large volumes of candidate outreach and phone screenings
  • Strong sourcing skills using job boards, social platforms, and internal databases
  • Excellent communication skills with a polished, professional demeanor
  • Ability to stay organized while managing multiple priorities
  • Confident phone presence and comfort with volume-based outreach
  • A positive, sales-minded attitude you love matching people to opportunities
  • Comfortable working 95% in-office at our Houston location
Compensation & Benefits
  • Competitive base salary
  • Uncapped commission/bonus structure tied to placements and performance
  • Voluntary benefits including short-term disability and supplemental insurance
  • Medical coverage: 80% employer-paid for employees / 50% for dependents
  • Clear, achievable goals with opportunities for raises within the first 6 months
  • 21 days of paid time off in your first year (PTO/Holiday/Sick)
  • Team-building activities, office competitions, and fun off-site events
  • Access to corporate VIP tickets, networking events, and continued education
Role Responsibilities
  • Conduct high-volume sourcing through job boards, social media, referrals, and internal pipelines
  • Perform high-volume phone screens to assess candidate qualifications and availability
  • Assist recruiters by keeping candidate pipelines full, organized, and up-to-date
  • Coordinate interviews, onboarding tasks, and follow-up communication
  • Maintain accurate candidate documentation and ATS entries
  • Support front desk operations, walk-ins, and general office needs
  • Contribute to a positive, team-first environment in a busy staffing office
Minimum Requirements
  • 1+ years of recruiting, sourcing, HR, or customer service experience
  • Fast typing skills and strong computer/ATS proficiency
  • Strong professional communication skills and polished appearance
  • Stability in work history 2+ years per previous employer preferred
  • Tech-savvy, including strong social media and online recruiting presence
  • Positive attitude, dependable work ethic, and collaborative mindset

If you're driven, people-focused, and ready to grow within one of Houston's top staffing agencies, we'd love to meet you. Apply today and be part of a team that works hard, wins big, and has fun doing it.
