Description:

You will be the Proposal Analyst Materials Estimating Mgr for the THAAD Materials Estimating Team. Our team is responsible for end‑to‑end creation of competitive, compliant proposals for Federal government contracts while managing talent lifecycle and bid‑price strategy.


What You Will Be Doing


As the Manager of the THAAD Materials Estimating Team you will own the full proposal development process, ensure FAR/DFARS compliance, and lead a high‑performing estimating workforce.


Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Develop, plan, and schedule proposals in alignment with estimating policies and RFP specifications.
  • Coordinate collection and integration of cost, schedule, and technical data from functional departments.
  • Perform “should‑cost” studies, support pricing negotiations, and present strategic recommendations to senior leadership.
  • Lead recruitment, onboarding, training, performance assessments, and career development for estimating staff.
  • Develop, communicate, and enforce estimating and pricing policies while driving continuous‑improvement initiatives.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in a related discipline
  • 8+ years of professional experience in any Estimating/Finance/GSC role
  • Experience with FAR/DFARS and audit activities
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Tools: Excel, Word, Outlook, Powerpoint

Desired Skills:

  • Strong Analytical Mindset
  • Familiar with THAAD Program
  • 6+ years of Materials Estimating experience
  • SAP/S4 Hana
  • Familiar with Estimating Desk References

Security Clearance Statement:

Ability to Work Remotely:

Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.

Work Schedules:

Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position:

4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
