You will be the Integrated Fighter Group Loads & Criteria Software Developer for the Integrated Fighter Group Loads & Criteria Team which is responsible for advancing the Aircraft Structural Integrity Programs.


What You Will Be Doing


As the Integrated Fighter Group Loads & Criteria Software Developer you will be responsible for delivering high‑quality software solutions that enable the IFG Loads & Criteria Team to assess and maintain structural integrity across fighter aircraft.


Your responsibilities will include:

  • Design, develop, and maintain engineering software applications and information systems supporting ASIP.
  • Update existing analysis tools and create new multi‑threaded user applications, databases, and numerical methods.
  • Drive the full software lifecycle: requirements generation, process definition, design, integration, testing, and documentation.
  • Collaborate within an Agile team to deliver robust, scalable solutions on schedule.
  • Optimize database structures and application performance to meet demanding analysis workloads.

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must be able to obtain a secret clearance.


Basic Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in an engineering technical discipline such as Aerospace, Aeronautical, Mechanical, or Computer Science.


4+ years professional experience or a related Masters degree with 2+ years professional experience.


Working knowledge of C/C++, C# or Java.


Presentation and communication skills.


Ability to travel.


Must be a US Citizen; this position will require a government security clearance. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.

Desired Skills:

Experience with software development utilizing Java, C/C++, C#, .NET, VBA and XML.


Experience with Object Oriented programming techniques.


A background in both aeronautical engineering and computer science/software development.


Experience with commercial databases such as Oracle and MS SQL Server.


Experience in developing web-based systems.


Experience in developing engineering analysis systems.


Experience developing software in the Agile environment.

Ability to Work Remotely:

Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedules:

Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position:

4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
