Mechanical skills in assembly of engineering prototype hardware. Sanding, painting and general assembly of plastic and metal hardware components
1-3 years experience in mechanical design with Pro/E/CREO or other CAD models, and GD&T (Geometric dimensioning and tolerancing) with excellent computer skills.
1-3 years Knowledge of additive manufacturing process and equipment.
Flex schedule, including Overtime and Weekends may be required.
Ability to follow Engineering development and design processes.
High School diploma or equivalent with experience working in a team environment.
Must be able to obtain a Secret Security Clearance.
The primary responsibility for this role is to support the Additive Manufacturing Lab and the Innovation Center.
Candidate will work with maintaining 3D-printers and support lab engineering build of 3-D printing. This person will be required to perform all functions associated with the additive manufacturing process which includes, but is not limited to, machine operation, hands-on post-processing, specification compliance, completeness, accuracy, design soundness, interpretation of ANSI Y14.5 drawing and GD&T standards, fabrication, assembly, installation, customer interface, and data management. In addition, the candidate will support the Lockheed Martin Innovation center, which is a collaborative space outfitted with multiple capabilities including 3D printers, laser cutters, waterjet, and virtual reality equipment. The candidate will assist with maintaining equipment, helping customers use the capabilities effectively, and other duties assigned by Innovation center management.

Possible use with, and working knowledge of composites and plastics, bonding agents, primers, paints, fillers, epoxies, composites and related processes also a plus.
Knowledge of fiber laser operation.
Willingness to learn and train others on new tools as they become available.
