Basic Qualifications

• Proven experience in complex production or related environment
• Demonstrated leadership skills
• Experience with Warehouse Operations
• Experience with SAP in both a fabrication and assembly environment
• Experienced in demand planning and demand management
• Demonstrated success in manufacturing execution in difficult environments, i.e. managing in a union shop, increasing volumes, significant labor increases, inconsistent material supply, producibility and/or quality challenges

You will be the Director, Palmdale Production Control for the Production Control team which is responsible for leading local production control efforts across the Palmdale site.

What You Will Be Doing

As the Director, Palmdale Production Control you will be responsible for providing strategic leadership to approximately 200 Production Control personnel, overseeing a portfolio of roughly 150 k orders per year, and ensuring seamless coordination among engineering, supply chain, and fabrication groups.

Your Responsibilities Will Include

• Integrate BTP release plan elements (drawing release, tool design, MBOM, work instructions) with build schedules, identify disconnects and implement solutions.
• Monitor performance to plan, tracking on‑time releases, starts, and completions.
• Create and implement recovery schedules to address variances.
• Oversee maintenance and reporting of schedules, manage MRP/SAP planning, shop‑floor control, constraint management, and set priorities for engineering and supply‑chain support.
• Act as Fabrication Integrator across the Palmdale site, Aeronautics, and other LM Business Units to drive collaboration and deliver results for customers.

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN – This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must possess an active Secret clearance to start.
