Job Description
Job Title: Cannabis Veg Technician | Reports to: Cultivation Management | Location: Homestead, FL 33030
Key Responsibilities:
Provide daily care for cannabis plants in the vegetative stage, including watering, feeding, and monitoring for signs of stress or disease.
Transplant cannabis plants into larger containers as they outgrow their current pots, ensuring proper spacing and soil quality.
Prune and train cannabis plants to encourage bushier growth, improve light penetration, and optimize yield.
Regularly inspect plants for signs of pests, diseases, or nutrient deficiencies, and take appropriate measures to address any issues.
Mix and administer nutrient solutions according to established schedules and plant requirements.
Monitor and maintain environmental conditions, including temperature, humidity, light levels, and ventilation, to promote healthy plant growth.
Keep detailed records of plant care activities, including feeding schedules, pruning dates, and any pest or disease treatments.
Coordinate with inventory management teams to track plant movement and quantity.
Maintain a clean and organized work area, following sanitation protocols to prevent contamination.
Adhere to all local and state regulations governing cannabis cultivation, including record-keeping and reporting requirements.
Work collaboratively with other cultivation team members to ensure the smooth transition of plants from the vegetative stage to the flowering stage.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Previous experience in cannabis cultivation or a related field is preferred.
Basic knowledge of cannabis plant biology and cultivation techniques.
Attention to detail and precision in plant care and maintenance tasks.
Ability to follow standard operating procedures and work in a regulated environment.
Effective communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment (lifting, bending, standing for long periods). Must be able to lift up to 50lbs and adjust to different indoor climates.
Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the job (sit, stand, kneel, bend, etc.) for extended periods of time.
Other tasks as assigned by management.
