Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and versatile Maintenance Handyman to join our dynamic facilities team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation and upkeep of our residential and commercial properties. Your expertise will help maintain a safe, functional, and welcoming environment by performing a wide range of repair, maintenance, and installation tasks. Duties

• Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on building systems, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical components.
• Conduct repairs using welding techniques and troubleshoot issues with schematics and technical diagrams.
• Operate programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to manage automated systems efficiently.
• Execute residential painting projects with precision to enhance property aesthetics.
• Utilize tools such as ohmmeters and other electrical testing devices to diagnose system faults accurately.
• Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
• Supervise minor projects or team members during facilities maintenance tasks, demonstrating leadership and ensuring quality standards are met.
• Assist with facilities upgrades or renovations, including installing new fixtures or equipment as needed.
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing tenant or resident concerns promptly and professionally.
• Follow safety protocols diligently to ensure a secure working environment for yourself and others.

Experience

• Proven experience in facilities maintenance or a similar role within residential or manufacturing settings.
• Strong mechanical knowledge combined with electrical experience, including working with schematics and troubleshooting electrical systems.
• Hands-on welding skills with the ability to perform repairs requiring metal fabrication.
• Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) used in automated building systems.
• Experience supervising or leading small teams or projects is preferred but not required.
• Knowledge of CMMS software for work order management and record keeping is advantageous.
• Ability to read technical schematics, blueprints, and wiring diagrams accurately.
• Competence in using testing tools such as ohmmeters and other electrical diagnostic equipment.
