Description

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Maintains a clean work environment. Performs general cleaning duties, including clearing and sanitizing tables.
2. Fosters good working relationships with guests and employees.
3. Wears and maintains all uniforms properly, including nametags. Must wear a gaming license if in possession of one.
4. If needed, takes guest orders accurately and serves food and beverages in a timely manner.
5. Regularly checks up on guests to ensure they are satisfied, offering refills if needed.
6. Performs sidework, including stocking condiments, rolling silverware, and folding napkins.
7. Operates a brewer to prepare coffee for guests.
8. Delivers excellent customer service. Makes guests feel welcome and wanting to return.
9. Answers questions that guests may have regarding menu options or general information about the resort.
10. Maintains alertness for the performance of all responsibilities and a general awareness of banquet operations at all times. Keeps the supervisor informed of any concerns.
11. Performs duties in compliance with the Colorado Limited Gaming Act, internal policies and procedures, safety standards, and health standards.
12. Regular and reliable attendance is a fundamental requirement of this position. Employees are expected to be punctual and consistently present during their scheduled work hours to ensure the effective and efficient operation of the business.
13. Performs other duties, including special projects, as needed and directed.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: Demonstrated hands-on hospitality, hosting, or serving experience, preferably within a banquet or fine dining environment. Demonstrated experience performing within specific deadlines or under pressure. Demonstrated experience problem-solving, organizing, and prioritizing work.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: Graduation from high school or equivalent. One (1) or more years of recent and related experience in the hospitality and restaurant industries.

LANGUAGE SKILLS: Demonstrated effective and diplomatic oral and written communication skills using English.

REASONING ABILITY: No decision-making is required beyond the scope of essential duties.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Successful completion of bloodborne pathogens and hazardous material training.

OTHER SKILLS/ABILITIES: Excellent customer service skills. Basic mathematical skills, including the ability to add and subtract. Ability to remain calm under pressure.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Essential duties involve performing physical exertion, including frequent brisk walking, climbing stairs, bending, stretching, reaching, pushing, kneeling, squatting, crouching, stooping, and standing for an entire work shift with standard breaks. Essential duties require lifting trays containing food and lifting up to 30 pounds to stack, store, or move kitchen, restaurant, or general office supplies and equipment. Essential duties involve a flexible workweek with additional hours routinely required.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:

$15.16 an hour plus tips from a shared tip pool
