Job Description

RESPONSIBILITIES

Represent clients in Chapter 7 and Chapter 11 bankruptcy proceedings, including complex reorganization matters. Advise secured creditors, unsecured creditors, official committees, trustees, debtors, and other stakeholders throughout the bankruptcy process. Develop and implement strategies related to workouts, restructurings, asset protection, and distressed financial situations. Review financial and legal documents and provide practical guidance regarding risk management and asset preservation. Conduct legal research and assist with case strategy, briefing, courtroom presentations, and hearing preparation. Draft and prepare pleadings, motions, discovery requests and responses, proofs of claim, and other bankruptcy-related filings. Communicate regularly with trustees, bankruptcy courts, local counsel, opposing counsel, and client representatives. Attend creditor meetings, hearings, mediations, and other court proceedings. Build and maintain strong client relationships while contributing to business development and referral opportunities.

QUALIFICATIONS

Licensed and in good standing to practice law in Texas. Minimum 5 years of experience focused on Chapter 7 and Chapter 11 bankruptcy matters. Experience representing a variety of parties, including secured creditors, unsecured creditors, committees, trustees, and debtors. Strong background in workouts, restructurings, and insolvency-related matters. Excellent legal research, writing, analytical, and advocacy skills. Outstanding verbal and written communication abilities. Strong business judgment, attention to detail, and professionalism. Demonstrated ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team environment. Excellent academic credentials, strong references, and a proven record of professional achievement. Ability and desire to develop client relationships and contribute to practice growth.
