Job Description

Scion Staffing has been engaged to conduct a search for Associate Director of Operations for an RCFE community located in Oakland, CA.


POSITION OVERVIEW:


This RCFE community is a mission-driven senior living environment providing residential care and supportive services for older adults in a warm, structured, and relationship-centered setting. The organization emphasizes dignity, connection, and holistic well-being through thoughtfully designed programming and highly attentive resident care.


The Associate Director of Operations will play a key leadership role within the RCFE, supporting day-to-day operational excellence across multiple departments. This position partners closely with executive leadership to ensure staffing alignment, regulatory compliance, and high-quality resident services. The ideal candidate is a hands-on operational leader who brings calm, structure, and consistency to a fast-paced care environment while supporting a strong, resident-centered culture.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Oversee daily operations across all RCFE departments including nursing, wellness, maintenance, culinary, housekeeping, activities, and front desk services
  • Partner with executive leadership to ensure operational consistency, staff coordination, and quality resident care
  • Support RCFE compliance, licensing requirements, and regulatory standards
  • Provide hands-on leadership to department heads and staff, ensuring accountability and clear communication across teams
  • Assist with staffing coordination, scheduling oversight, and operational workflow improvements
  • Maintain a structured, safe, and resident-centered environment that supports dignity and quality of life
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Leadership experience in operations, healthcare, senior living, or RCFE environments strongly preferred
  • Strong people management skills with experience leading multiple departments or teams
  • Ability to remain calm, organized, and effective in structured and high-responsibility environments
  • Familiarity with RCFE operations, healthcare compliance, or residential care settings preferred
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with a resident-centered mindset

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:


This position offers competitive annual compensation ranging from approximately $90,000-$110,000 , depending on experience and fit. The organization provides a comprehensive benefits package that may include medical, dental, and vision coverage, paid time off, and additional employee support offerings. This is a stable, full-time onsite leadership opportunity within an RCFE community focused on compassionate care, operational consistency, and long-term resident well-being.
