Hawkins Melendrez P.C., a boutique-sized law firm located in the heart of Summerlin, Nevada, is seeking a talented Litigation Attorney to join our accomplished team and contribute to our continued success. As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to handle cases from inception through trial and appeal.

Position Overview:
As a member of our firm, you will handle contract disputes, wrongful death, personal injury, commercial disputes, and business matters. From inception to resolution, you will be responsible for conducting legal research, drafting pleadings and motions, managing discovery, attending depositions, hearings, arbitrations, mediation, and trial. This position offers an excellent opportunity for professional growth, as you will collaborate closely with experienced partners and take on challenging cases.

Requirements

• At least two (2) years of experience in some or all of the following:
  
   
  • Premises, auto or products liability, healthcare, wrongful death and personal injury (primarily defense positions)
•  
  • Experience in managing a litigation caseload
•  
  • Experience drafting legal documents, such as briefs, motions and discovery requests 
• 
  
  • Experience conducting legal research 
• 
  
  • Appearance at hearings, depositions, ADR proceedings and trials
•  
• Excellent analytical, research and writing skills
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including communicating with clients, team and partners and providing timely reporting and appearances in court
• Active member of the Nevada State Bar, in good standing.
• Experience in the courtroom and taking depositions; trial experience, a plus.
• Ability to manage a caseload independently, while also working collaboratively with team members.
• Client-focused mindset and a passion for achieving successful outcomes.
